Intercollegiate Adventist GSA Coalition Announces New Scholarship

by Alison Amyx

The Intercollegiate Adventist GSA Coalition (IAGC) is proud to announce a brand new Leaders for Equality Scholarship.

The scholarship was created to support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) student leaders who work toward constructive dialogue and equality on Seventh-day Adventist college campuses across North America.

IAGC recognizes the strength, dedication and commitment required to face the challenges of advocating for LGBTQ equality while sowing seeds of love. By creating the Leaders for Equality Scholarship IAGC seeks to honor the bold few who have dedicated their time and energy toward a more unified, inclusive and loving Seventh-day Adventist community.

Applications for the Leaders for Equality Scholarship will be available starting September 15, 2013. For application details, deadlines and requirements please feel free to send inquiries via email. Those interested in joining IAGC in fostering a forum for open, nationwide discussion of vital issues facing young LGBTQ Adventists may do so by liking the IAGC Facebook page.

The Intercollegiate Adventist GSA Coalition (IAGC) is a student led non-profit organization that seeks to bridge the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) community and the Seventh-day Adventist community within the academic setting by supporting Gay and Straight Alliance (GSA) groups at Seventh-day Adventist colleges across North America.
