A Letter From God

Dear James,

I was so moved to receive your letter – asking me for my blessing.  You may remember sending me that letter almost 30 years ago, when you finally began to accept who you really were.  Sadly I receive so many of these letters every day.  As you can see it can take quite some time for you to receive my response.  It can only happen when you are truly ready to receive it.  What took you so long?!? :o)

By now you have learned that you are part of a very special community that exists and has always existed all over the world.  Some have pointed out that your community makes up 10% of the population – I won’t answer that one, that’s up to you to figure out, but I will tell you that you and your LGBT brothers & sisters will always be the minority.  You must remember that too much of a good thing is reserved strictly for heaven.  I’m sure you understand.  

Since the beginning of time, my unconditional love has been there waiting for you and your entire community to receive.  All I ask is that you be open to it.  And help others to be open to it as well, no matter who they may be.  There are so many in your world, trying to prevent you from receiving that love, but you must not let that stop you.  I created you to be exactly who you are and that is what I expect from you.  

I was delighted when the rainbow was chosen as the symbol to represent your brothers & sisters.  It reflects perfectly the many colors (gifts) you are able to offer the world, just by being who you are.  It is your responsibility and others like you, to offer these gifts to everyone.  That is why you were created.  

I could go on and on, but as you can imagine, lots to do here, so I must keep this short.  

But to answer your original question, you have always had my blessing since the day you were born.  Don’t ever forget that!!
