I have always kept God in my thoughts when I first started noticing that I was gay, I was taking religious classes at my church. I remember asking one my teacher visibly upset, "If your gay do you go to hell?" I could tell that she was taken aback by my question and she clearly didn't know what to say to me. In the end she said, "umm accourding to the church if you repent your sin then you will be accepted to heaven." From then on church was a place where I felt most alone in, where I felt that the boys and girls who had nothing to hid were wasting the gift that they had, to be able to worship God freely and to one day be married in a church like their entire ancestry before them. I had a dream where a man, who I assumed to be God say to me, "I accept you no matter what you are". I was so glad to have dreamt that dream but the reality of the world quickly removed my joy. I remember lying on my first boyfriends bed on a summer afternoon telling him, "I don't think God has anything against us." The lord and my faith in God have always been important to me seeing this organization warms my heart, watching your videos I couldn't help but cry tears of joy and smile saying to God, "Thank you. Thank you so much."
